Overview
Reynolds Little League endorses the National Little League philosophy,
and has made only slight modifications to some of the playing rules in
an attempt to enhance the playing experience for our children. The following
is an excerpt from the National Little League organization:
"Little League Baseball is a program of service to youth. It is geared
to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training under good leadership
in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation. The movement is
dedicated to helping children become good and decent citizens. It strives
to inspire them with a goal and to enrich their lives toward the day when
they must take their places in the world. It establishes for them rudiments
of teamwork and fair play." |

| League Structure |
Reynolds Little League consists of the following 7 youth
baseball divisions: |

- Senior
- Junior
- Majors

Minors
- Farm
- Rookie
- Challenger
|
| Senior Division: |
Comprised of 15-18 year olds. They play High school/MLB rules on standard Fields. |
| Junior Division: |
Consists of 13-14 years olds. Full size field with 90 foot basepaths. Regular MLB rules with some exceptions regarding bats and safety equipment |
| Major Division: |
Usually comprised of 11-12 year olds with superior baseball skills, however,
11 year-olds may choose to play in the Minor Division (below) regardless
of skill level. Allstar team canidates selected ate end of season by teammates. |
| Minor Division: |
Consists of 9-10 years olds. Players are introduced to pitching and base
stealing. Allstar team canidates selected at end of season by teammates. |
| Farm Division: |
Players are 7-8 years old. Coaches pitch 5 balls to players. Emphasis
on defensive skills. Roster batting. |
| Rookie Division: |
Intorduction to fundamentals of baseball. Players are 5-6 years old. Players
hit from tee. Roster batting. |
| Challenger Division: |
For players with speacial needs. Play surrounding area challenger teams.
Focus is on baseball fun! |

| Eligibility |
| Reynolds Little League is open to all children between
the ages of 5 and 18 as of April 30th of each year. The league is open
to players who live within the established physical boundaries, subject
to adherence to established rules and required parental support. In addition,
player candidates must have parental or legal guardian consent.

| Operations |
| Reynolds Little League is an all-volunteer league. Many parents
devote their personal time to support and operate the league. Help is always
needed - if you are interested in volunteering some time, please read more
on the volunteering section. |
